Expat Payroll Team Leader

Due to restructure my client is looking to recruit an Expat Payroll Team Leader to assist in the management of a team of four in the effective delivery of the UK Expatriate Payroll.

Within this role you will:

•Ensure that my client complies with all UK PAYE & NIC statutory legislative responsibilities
•Act as an escalation point for the Expat Payroll Team members when the Expat Manager is unavailable
•Assist the Expat Payroll Manager in managing day to day activities of the team and act as cover in full management role
•Implement and manage change that impacts the expats payroll as a strategic or legislative amendment
•You will also work closely with the projects team to ensure the payroll system is configured to support business proposals
•You will ensure that the expats team are fully conversant with any impacting business or legislative change both internal and external

To be the ideal candidate for this role you will be able to demonstrate strong technical capability in terms of UK expatriate payroll, including tax residency rules, international social security including knowledge of UK agreements. Understand tax equalisation and associated gross up calculations required within the payroll system. You will also have proven ability to lead and motivate a team comprising of staff involved in both technical and supervisory roles.
