Expat Payroll Manager

Due to restructure my client is looking to recruit an Expat Payroll Manager to manage a team of four UK expat payroll administrators.

Within this role you will:

•Adhere to the payroll policies and conditions of service referring any deviations to Senior Management
•Ensure that they comply with all UK PAYE and NIC statutory legislative responsibilities
•Implement or manage change that impacts expat payroll as a result of a strategic or legislative amendment
•Provide business areas with payroll reports summarising costing information
•Be the driver of high quality customer service throughout the expat team
•Monitor and review current payroll procedures and practices and proactively recommend new and innovative solutions
•Ensure strict PAYE and Social Security compliance across payroll for differing policy types and both inbound and outbound assignees

To be the ideal candidate for this role you will be able to demonstrate strong technical capability in terms of UK expatriate payroll, including tax residency rules, international social security including knowledge of UK agreements. Understand tax equalisation and associated gross up calculations required within the payroll system.

Previous experience is required in the field of understanding and applying for SOX controls. You will also have proven ability to manage, lead and motivate a team comprising of staff involved in both technical and supervisory roles.
