Associate Consultant - Defined Contributions Pensions Consulting

Purpose:-
Reporting to the Team Manager, the jobholder will be responsible for providing support to a team of consultants within their regional office. In addition, the job holder may be responsible for a portfolio of clients.
Experience with Defined Contributions Pensions is essential for this role.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:- • Where possible identify opportunities to increase the value of a portfolio of accounts and converting addition business opportunities from current clients • Provide support to colleagues including informal on-the-job assistance with work assignments • Maintain files as required, arrange storage and retrieval of files, ensure files are kept up to date with relevant documentation • Provide graphic design support for a range of the organisation's written communications (e.g. product information materials, brochures, presentations and case studies) • Where applicable, ensure the requirements of the Financial Services Market Act 2000 and Aon's Compliance criteria are met in relation to Regulated Business carried out within specific specialist area. • Upon identification, report risks to the Operations Director and/or Compliance Director to ensure appropriate risk management activities are implemented • Responsible for own continuous professional and personal development including keeping abreast of statutory obligations and relevant FSA guidelines and legislation • Organise meetings and events, including complex multi- party meetings and adjust arrangements in response to changing circumstances • Ensure working practices are in adherence with ACUK T&C processes and procedures; where necessary provide evidence and information to appropriate parties which demonstrates compliance with regulatory requirements. • Ensure that any potential E&O cases are addressed in accordance with an appropriate procedure to minimise Aon's exposure • Participate where appropriate at both internal and external meetings • Provide information and updates as requested for regular and adhoc financial statements for the business for regulatory, accounting and other purposes. • Ensure all financial hygiene activities (eg billing) completed accurately and on time • Provide general administration support to colleagues and teams (e.g. correspondence, presentations and reports, meetings and appointments, telephones) • Ensure all relevant discussion points/actions are recorded and reflected accurately within minutes • Ensure appropriate software utilised to full potential and required information is accurate and up to date. • Keep team members informed of work progress and seek support and guidance where appropriate • Responsible for the prompt escalation of issues e.g. retention challenges, development opportunities to Team Manager/Consultant Aon Consulting is a leading human capital consultancy, helping organisations of every size to attract and keep the employees they need.
